I have extensive experience working for corporations, nonprofit organizations, and government partners, as well as elected officials, giving me a deep understanding of how people function in teams and work together to achieve common goals.
More on My Background
I have 25+ years of experience with corporate entities and private and public foundations, developing impactful philanthropic strategies and transformative higher education programs. I have supported dozens of organizations in creating non-profit foundations and have focused most of my career developing scholarship programs with impactful awards and targeted eligibility to offer true access and long-term support to students who hope to reach higher in their pursuit of higher education.
My corporate career focused on business and partnership development, driven by the concept that effective, client-driven partnerships are the best mechanism to drive sustainable growth and impact. By maximizing the capabilities and strengths of a long-term partnership, I helped clients from the federal government and state and local officials to make the most of their investments in the community.
Running a restaurant, being an instructor at a local community college, and writing as a columnist for three community newspapers has rounded out my experience and ensured that I learned from some of the most innovative and impact-oriented leaders across multiple sectors.
As a Hudson-certified coach, I am driven to create opportunities for multi-generational teams and developing emerging leaders--ensuring they can leverage their capabilities to reach their full potential.
My methodology utilizes systems-focused coaching and consulting. I believe we need to consider the larger system in which we live and work. I encourage individuals to consider how their actions impact those they lead, colleagues, investors, customers, partners, and even their local community. Similarly, I prioritize collaboration among community groups, non-profits, government institutions, and private companies to help us to work together and make a positive impact.
Within my local community, I serve as a member of the board of directors for several nonprofit organizations in the areas of higher education, poverty alleviation, social determinants of health, military families, higher education, and the arts, I enjoy writing, running, hiking, and every Sunday, my husband and I can be found at the beach with our dog.
We live within professional, community, and family systems and can thrive in them.
